Osasuna appoints Alessio Lisci as head coach

The Navarrese club signs the Italian head coach for two seasons

Club Atlético Osasuna announced today that it has named Alessio Lisci as its head coach, signing him to a two-season term, which will link the Italian gaffer and the rojillo entity through June 30, 2027. The new rojillo boss will be presented tomorrow, June 24, at 5 p.m. at El Sadar.

Alessio Lisci (November 4, 1985; Rome, Italy) arrives at Club Atlético Osasuna after leading Club Deportivo Mirandés to an impressive season, where the Jabatos finished in fourth place with 75 points in LaLiga Hypermotion and reached the promotion playoff final. This second season in Anduva was the pinnacle of his work, which began a year before when he helped the team stay above the relegation zone in the second tier of Spanish football. Before making history in Miranda de Ebro, Lisci got his professional start in football at Levante Unión Deportiva.

The Italian coach began his journey in Spain during the 2011-12 season, when he coached Levante’s U-19 team. Throughout the following years, he continued to earn success with the academy from Orriols until 2020, when he became the head coach of Atlético Levante in Segunda B. In 2021, he was promoted to head coach of Levante. At 37, he was given the difficult task of helping a team that had only earned 15 points in seven games. Although he earned 28 points in his 23 games, the team's difficult start to the season made it challenging to avoid relegation.

After two years of continuous success at Club Deportivo Mirandés, Lisci will lead Club Atlético Osasuna ahead of an exciting 2025-26 LaLiga EA Sports season.
