Club Atlético Osasuna signs Víctor Muñoz for the next five seasons
The Navarrese club has reached an agreement with Real Madrid Club de Fútbol for fifty percent of the footballer's economic rights
Club Atlético Osasuna has reached an agreement with Real Madrid Club de Fútbol for the transfer of the footballer Víctor Muñoz, who has signed a contract with the club for the next five seasons. The Navarrese club will pay 5,000,000 euros for fifty percent of his economic rights, to which an additional million euros could be added depending on the player's sporting achievements. The player's termination clause will be 40,000,000 euros in LaLiga EA Sports. Through the agreement reached, Real Madrid reserves an option to buy back the player at the end of the next three seasons. The player, who recently concluded his participation in the Club World Cup, will join Osasuna on 22 July. Upon his arrival, he will be presented as a new player of the club.
Víctor Muñoz Villanueva (13 July 2003; Barcelona) is an emerging 21-year-old talent who can play in a variety of attacking positions, both as a winger and as a striker. The player arrives at Osasuna after an outstanding season with Real Madrid Castilla, where he scored 11 goals and provided seven assists. One of his main weapons lies in his speed, which he is able to exploit in space and to overrun rival defences. However, he is a very complete player who has been among the best in the category in records as accelerations (2nd), total distance covered at high intensity (2nd), percentage of shots between the posts (2nd), total dribbles (3rd) or progressive passes (8th).
The Catalan player came through the youth ranks at San Gabriel before joining the Barcelona youth academy (2014-17). He would later play for Damm (2017-21) before joining Real Madrid, with whom he won the Copa del Rey Juvenil. Subsequently, he was promoted to the second white subsidiary, where he scored 10 goals in Tercera Federación and, finally, to Castilla, where this season he has excelled as a differential footballer. His performance helped him to make his debut with the first team in the last Clásico played at Camp Nou and to participate in the recent FIFA Club World Cup.
