Osasuna Signs Defender Valentin Rosier to Three-Year Deal

French right back joins as a free agent from Club Deportivo Leganés

Club Atlético Osasuna has announced the signing of defender Valentin Rosier to a three-year contract. The Frenchman will join the Navarrese club as a free agent after his contract with Club Deportivo Leganés expires on June 30. He will be tied to Osasuna through the end of the 2027–28 season and will have a LaLiga EA Sports buyout clause of 15 million euros.

Rosier underwent medical tests Wednesday morning at Clínica Universidad de Navarra. He will be officially presented when he joins the club for preseason training.

Valentin André Henri Rosier (born Aug. 19, 1996, in Montauban, France) arrives at Osasuna after establishing himself as one of the top right backs in LaLiga EA Sports during the 2024–25 season. He was a key player for Leganés, making 36 appearances across all competitions.

The 28-year-old made his professional debut with Rodez Aveyron in France’s second division during the 2015–16 season before moving on to play for Dijon, Sporting CP, Beşiktaş, Nice and Leganés. While at Beşiktaş, Rosier won the Turkish League, Cup, and Super Cup, and was named to the Team of the Season in the 2020–21 season.

Internationally, he has earned seven caps with France’s under-21 national team and has played in 19 European club matches, including appearances in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
