Alessio Lisci: “I am Responsible for the Loss”
Osasuna coach addresses media after 3-2 defeat at Levante
Osasuna head coach Alessio Lisci addressed reporters after his team’s 3-2 loss to Levante at Estadio Ciutat de València on Friday night.
“I think in the second half, Levante deserved the goal,” Lisci said. “We had two chances to regain the lead, but it is what it is. It was an eventful match with many unusual things, but I would rather not talk about them. I am responsible for the loss. Now, we have to improve and try to take all nine points in the next three matches.”
“If that goal off a corner hadn’t happened, we had the game under control and where we wanted it,” Lisci said. “We were doing well. We defended poorly on the corner, and from there, the game got out of hand. We weren’t able to control it, pause it or manage it. If the team wasn’t able to do those things, it is my fault. That’s the end of the story.”
