Alessio Lisci: "We didn't play well today, and it can't happen again"

Los Rojillos’ performance is outdone by Los Verdiblancos, who secured the win with two first-half goals
Club Atlético Osasuna (2-1-4, 7 points) suffered a 2-0 defeat to Real Betis (3-3-1, 12 points) at La Cartuja on Sunday night. Forwards Abde and Cucho Hernández scored for Los Verdiblancos in the first half, securing all three points. Los Rojillos were unable to fight back, ultimately costing them the game.
The match started evenly, with neither team gaining the upper hand. However, everything changed in the 19th minute when Abde found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Hernández. After taking the lead, the home side began to dominate play, while Osasuna continued to fight back. Defender Valentín Rosier attempted to equalize with a shot that went off target. Betis responded with a dangerous effort from Abde, but goalkeeper Sergio Herrera made a crucial save. Shortly after, Hernández extended the lead with a goal from outside the box. As the first half drew to a close, Osasuna's forward Ante Budimir came close to scoring, but his header missed the post by inches.
In the second half, forwards Víctor Muñoz and Sherlado Becker came on, prompting head coach Alessio Lisci to adjust his tactical approach. This change made Osasuna a more threatening side. Both Budimir and defender Alejandro Catena had opportunities to score, but their attempts were off target. Muñoz then attempted a shot from inside the box, but goalkeeper Pau López was able to save it. The game became more balanced, with Osasuna continuing to push forward, particularly down the flanks. Budimir had another chance after collecting a cross from defender Abel Bretones, but his shot also went off target.
Osasuna will now turn its attention to its next match against Getafe at El Sadar on Friday, October 3, during Week 8 of LaLiga EA Sports. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CET (8 p.m. BST/3 p.m. ET).
