Osasuna’s 2025‑26 home kit is a homage to the 40th anniversary of the club’s first appearance in European competition
The kit, designed by Macron, is inspired by the strip worn by Los Rojillos in Glasgow on Sept. 18, 1985.
Club Atlético Osasuna and Macron unveiled the Navarrese club's 2025‑26 home kit today. The design honors the club's inaugural European match—played 40 years ago on Sept. 18, 1985, in Glasgow—and the Scottish city served as the backdrop for the promotional photos and video, which spotlight a jersey steeped in tradition and 1980s flair.
The home kit keeps the club's classic palette: a red jersey, navy blue shorts, black socks with a red turnover and the Osasuna crest embroidered on the left chest. Details recall the shirt worn at Ibrox Park by Javier Castañeda, Eugenio Bustingorri and Patxi Rípodas, including the line effect created by Eco Lanman Jacquard fabric and a retro collar. The most noticeable element is the navy weave on the shoulders, complemented by alternating patterns on the shorts. A geometric print adds depth to the design.
Two features reinforce the commemorative theme: a small gold patch inside the hem referencing the 1985‑86 season and every Osasuna appearance in European competition, and the coat of arms of Navarre printed on the upper back. The Macron Hero logo sits on the right chest, while "Designed in Bologna" appears inside the collar in tribute to the brand's Italian origins.
Macron and its commitment to sustainability
Macron not only honors Osasuna's past but reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability. Like all Macron kits, the jersey is made of 100% Eco Fabric, a recycled polyester that underscores the brand's environmental pledge. The body uses Eco Lanman, while Eco Softlock and Eco Mesh sleeves maximize breathability and lightness.
Retail information
The home kit goes on sale at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at the El Sadar store and online.
'El viaje' is the first episode of the collection
Osasuna and Macron will unveil the 2025‑26 range in three video episodes produced with Equipo FC. The first, "El viaje" ("The Journey"), follows two supporters retracing the 1985 trip to Glasgow for Osasuna's first European match in the old UEFA Cup. The club lost that leg 1‑0 to Rangers but rallied in the return game at El Sadar—wearing the same jersey now honored—thanks to goals from Rípodas and Enrique Martín. Martín's fence‑leaping, fist‑pumping celebration became an iconic image. The away and third kits will be revealed after the San Fermín festival.
