Forward Claudia Gutiérrez, defender Andrea Palacios, and forward Ana Urzainqui lead Las Rojillas to victory

Osasuna Femenino defeated Real Madrid B, 3-2, in its home opener Sunday afternoon at Tajonar Sports Complex. Forward Claudia Gutiérrez and defender Andrea Palacios propelled Las Rojillas to a 2-1 lead at halftime, while a crucial goal from forward Ana Urzainqui in the 84th minute secured the victory, despite Real Madrid B's late attempt to equalize in stoppage time.

The match began with Las Rojillas aggressively pressing the visitors. Their efforts paid off early when Gutiérrez scored from a set piece in the sixth minute. However, Real Madrid B responded with a goal from defender Raquel Zuazo, leveling the match. The tie was short-lived, as Palacios reclaimed the lead for Osasuna in the 42nd minute, finishing a pass from midfielder Adri Parada to take the team into halftime with an advantage.

After the break, Real Madrid B intensified their attack, attempting to find an equalizer. Despite their efforts, Las Rojillas held firm, creating several chances of their own. Palacios had an opportunity following a cross from the right, while defender María “Porto” Portolés drew a save from goalkeeper Laia with another cross.

In the final minutes of the match, Osasuna sealed the win with a breakaway goal from Urzainqui, making it 3-1. In stoppage time, defender Eunate Arraiza was cautioned for a handball in the box, allowing forward Naiara Sanmartín to convert a penalty, bringing the score to 3-2.

Las Rojillas’ next match is set for Saturday, Sept. 20, at noon CET, when they visit Tenerife B in Week 3 of the Primera Federación Femenina.
