Alessio Lisci: ‘Details Make the Difference in Football, and We Didn’t Take Care of Them’

Forward Víctor Muñoz gave Los Rojillos the lead with a stunning shot from outside the area, but defender Adrià Pedrosa equalized in stoppage time.
Club Atlético Osasuna (2-1-3, 7 points) drew 1-1with Elche CF (2-4-0, 10 points) at El Sadar on Thursday night. Los Rojillos took an early lead through a spectacular goal from forward Víctor Muñoz. However,defender Adrià Pedrosa’s late strike in stoppage time secured the equalizer forthe visitors.
The match started with Osasuna in control. Within the first five minutes, Muñoz created the first chance with a shot from the edge of the box, saved by goalkeeper Iñaki Peña. Just six minutes later, in the 11th minute, Muñoz thrilled El Sadar crowd with a curling shot into the top corner, putting Osasuna ahead 1-0 — Peña had little chance to stop the strike from distance. Near the end of the first half, Osasuna had a good opportunity to double the lead, but defender Abel Bretones’ header at the far post went wide.
Early in the second half, Muñoz had another chance after leading a counterattack that ended with his own shot. From a tight angle inside the box, his effort was blocked by the Elche defense. Minutes later, forward Rafa Mir came close to leveling the score, but his shot hit the crossbar. Around the middle of the second half, goalkeeper Sergio Herrera made a crucial save to deny forward Álvaro Rodríguez’s header from a corner. Elche pressed in the final minutes and eventually equalized in stoppage time through Pedrosa.
Osasuna will now set its eyes on its upcoming match against Real Betis at La Cartuja on Sunday, September 28 in Week 7 of LaLiga EA Sports. Kick off is set for 9 p.m. CET (8 p.m. BST/3 p.m. ET).
