Osasuna defeats Mirandés 3-0 in its penultimate preseason match

Osasuna defeated Mirandés 3-0 in its penultimate preseason game Wednesday afternoon in Tafalla. The Navarran side showcased a solid performance, controlling play from the outset with high pressing and an effective offensive rhythm. Striker Raúl García led the way with a first-half brace, while Ante Budimir added a late goal to secure the victory.

Osasuna took charge early, dominating possession and creating several chances. In the opening minutes, Jon Moncayola and Raúl both had opportunities that went wide. Shortly after, Aimar unleashed a powerful shot, which the Mirandés goalkeeper managed to stop. The breakthrough came in the 12th minute when Raúl collected a long pass from Juan Cruz, deftly dribbled past the goalkeeper, and found the net for the opening goal. He continued to threaten, testing the keeper with a header shortly after. In the 45th minute, Kike Barja delivered a well-placed cross into the box, where Raúl headed the ball home, doubling Osasuna's lead just before halftime.

After the break, Los Rojillos maintained their dominance. Early in the second half, Barja and Raúl had a promising double opportunity, but the goalkeeper was equal to the challenge, denying both attempts. In the 78th minute, Osasuna earned a free kick in the final third. Barja stepped up to take it, sending the ball into the box, where Budimir pounced after a scramble to score and seal the 3-0 victory.

Osasuna will conclude its preseason against SC Freiburg on Saturday, August 9, at Euro-Park Stadion. The match is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. CET and will feature three 45-minute periods, lasting a total of 135 minutes.
