Osasuna Calls 21 Players for Home Opener Against Valencia
Club Atlético Osasuna has named 21 players for its home opener against Valencia C.F. Kickoff is set for Sunday, August 24, at 5 p.m. CET (4 p.m. BST/11 a.m. ET).
Head coach Alessio Lisci will be without two players: forward Iker Benito, who continues to recover from an injury, and defender Abel Bretones, who will serve the first match of a two-match suspension. Osasuna is currently awaiting a response from the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding the club’s appeal of Bretones' suspension.
Lisci has also called up four players from Osasuna Promesas: goalkeeper Dimitrios Stamatakis, defender Raúl Chasco, and midfielders Mauro Echegoyen and Asier Osambela.
