Osasuna Trains at El Sadar Three Days Before Facing Real Sociedad
Italian Coach Addresses Media Ahead of Osasuna vs. Real Sociedad
Osasuna head coach Alessio Lisci addressed the media ahead of tomorrow’s home match against Real Sociedad. The rojillo boss opened the press conference by thanking the grounds staff and everyone involved in clearing the training pitch following overnight snowfall in Tajonar.
“I want to publicly thank the club, especially the grounds staff, for their amazing work in maintaining the pitch between last night and this morning, which allowed the team’s training to proceed,” Lisci said.
The Italian coach emphasized the significance of tomorrow’s match, noting its potential as a catalyst for returning to winning ways.
“It’s a crucial match. When we faced them in a friendly, the situation was the opposite; we were performing well, and they were struggling. It shows how quickly things can change after an international break. We must work to ensure that by the next break, we are back in a good position, and that starts tomorrow.”
Lisci also discussed the vital role fans will play in the upcoming match.
“What more can I say about our fans? I can’t ask for anything more from them. The ones who need to do more are us. Tomorrow is crucial, and we ask our fans, once again, to rise to the occasion and push us forward throughout the 90 minutes, no matter what happens. I am confident they will. When the match is over, they will determine whether they liked our performance or not. But during the 90 minutes we are on the pitch, I urge them to stand by us and support us during the difficult moments, because they will come. In good times, I know they will lead us as they always do. We can’t ask our fans for more; we just need them to be there, and we will strive to deliver a performance that makes them proud.”
Regarding Real Sociedad, the 40-year-old coach noted their “high technical level.”
“They have wingers, strikers, and a midfield who can break your pressure and win you a game at any moment. My concern is about the times when it might seem you have an edge, they overcoming it. When playing against such opponents, that’s the reality. This highlights the necessity to remain focused, compete, and deliver an even better performance.”
