Osasuna-led Reconstruction Work in Massanassa 85% Complete
Club Atlético Osasuna continues to make progress on reconstruction work in Massanassa, one of the towns hit hardest by the DANA storms last October. The club raised €450,755 through contributions from the organization, members, fans, staff, partners, and other groups such as UAGN, who chose to support the initiative. The project also has the backing of Saltoki, whose support has provided high-quality materials and skilled professionals, allowing the total impact of the campaign to exceed €500,000.
Following meetings with the Massanassa town council, Osasuna chose to invest in rehabilitating the town's sports complex and a theater located in its cultural center. A team of club staff is currently in Massanassa coordinating the work. Once completed, the club will share detailed updates so everyone who contributed can see how their donations were used.
So far, 100% of the work on the municipal pavilion floor, cladding, and seating has been completed. Additional finished work includes painting, renovation of outdoor barbecue areas, full refurbishment of two paddle courts, replacement of the perimeter grating around the pool, drainage work in the showers, and construction of a new wall and entrance gate. Work on the municipal pools is 60% complete, while replacing filtration systems and the perimeter wall of the complex is halfway done. Remaining tasks include zoning the barbecue areas and completing carpentry and aluminum work.
The theater in the Casa de Cultura, which was especially damaged, is nearing completion. Osasuna has completed 100% of demolition, interior dismantling, structural rehabilitation, drainage and insulation. Work on the false ceilings is 90% complete, electrical and HVAC systems are 80% done, and interior finishes are about 70% finished. Once those phases are complete, the theater will be painted to finalize its rehabilitation.
In prior meetings, staff from Osasuna and the town council selected and assessed all of the municipal buildings receiving these resources. The project is about 85% complete, with completion expected within the next four to five weeks.
