"We want to improve our form and get a win at home," head coach Jagoba Arrasate

The rojillo boss addressed the media ahead of tomorrow's match against Almería.

Pamplona (Wednesday, January 3, 2024) – Head coach Jagoba Arrasate addressed the media this morning ahead of tomorrow's match against Almería. "Right now, we are not making year-long resolutions. We have a big game tomorrow, and that's what we have on our minds. We want to improve our form and get a win at home like we did the last time we played there," the rojillo boss said. "Our goal tomorrow is to win, play well, and enjoy with our fans because our last games have not been good."

He added, "In our last game at El Sadar, we all went home happy. Indeed, we didn't do a good game, but in the last 15 minutes, we found our best version. We would always rather play at home, and we have to perform well like we have done this year. Against Las Palmas, we played well but didn't win. Against Barcelona, we played well and lost, but we have had a good showing, and that's what we want." "We always want to play at El Sadar. We always want to play with our fans. I am certain tomorrow we will have a great football environment, with kids and a nice atmosphere, and we want to play with them by our side and do things well."

Regarding the opponent, the Berriatua native said, "My focus is on their last few games, where they have improved. In their last two home games, they have kept a clean sheet. They almost get a good result in their last two road games against Atlético de Madrid and Barcelona." "They are a talented team; from the midfield upward, they can create a chance. Their problem seems to be at the back, but they have been improving. As I said, we don't have the luxury of relaxing. We respect our opponent. We have to play a good game so they don't show their best version."
