“We want to be a contender tomorrow and finish as high up as possible in the standings,” head coach Jagoba Arrasate

The rojillo boss addressed the media ahead of tomorrow’s Granada vs. Osasuna

Tajonar, Spain (Saturday, April 27, 2024) – Head coach Jagoba Arrasate addressed the media ahead of tomorrow’s road match against Granada Club de Fútbol this morning. Kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m. CET (3:15 p.m. BST/10:15 a.m. ET). During the press conference, the rojillo boss said, “We have lost the last two games and must break this negative streak. We could have added points in the last two games, but we didn’t. Tomorrow, we have a crucial opportunity. We aim to close the season in good form, be a contender tomorrow, and finish as high up as possible in the standings. So, tomorrow’s game is the most important one for us.” He later added, “The players are training well. Yes, we have had to rule some out due to injuries, but we have been able to bring people from the Promesas to train with the first team when needed. The team is doing well during the week, and when the game approaches, we are eager and take it seriously. In that regard, you might feel like nothing is at stake, but we have a huge challenge ahead of us, and that’s how we will take it.”

When asked about Granada, the Berriatua native said, “They are having their best moment of the season. They are off from earning a point in San Mamés after playing a great game and defeating Alavés. At home, they have had great performances against Valencia and Alavés. It seems they assumed their fate, but they are eager to finish the season in good form, especially at home. They have great players, and playing at their home field will make it challenging for us.”
