The Osasuna Foundation hosts the latest edition of Escuela de Fútbol at the Pamplona Penitentiary

Head coaches Jagoba Arrasate and Josu Domínguez, captains David García and Miriam Rivas, and the Club's first vice president, César Muniáin, led a forum to end the program

Pamplona (Friday, April 26, 2024)—On Wednesday, the latest edition of the football program by the Osasuna Foundation at the Penitentiary Center ended. Head coaches Jagoba Arrasate and Josu Domínguez, captains David García and Miriam Rivas, and the Club's first vice president, César Muniáin, led the closing ceremony with a forum. The meeting was the program's last activity, consisting of five training sessions held in March and April and a friendly tournament with Osasuna Veteranos.

The Osasuna Foundation has been doing this program since 2002 as part of the sport and social activities geared toward vulnerable groups for those at risk of social exclusion. The goal of the football school in the Penitentiary Center is to promote the practice of sports and to use football as a tool for social inclusion with values such as teamwork, effort and respect – the same values Club Atlético Osasuna holds to the highest standard. Other programs by the Foundation include: 'InterGOL' (for teenagers with legal problems), 'FutboleANDO' (for senior citizens), or 'Yo Juego en Osasuna' (geared for Intellectual Disabilities collective).

A total of 44 participants were involved in this edition of the program – 32 men and 12 women. It is worth mentioning that, for the first time, the female module has been encouraged to participate in the activity by completing three training sessions. The 32 male participants worked in two groups, completed five one-hour training sessions, and played a friendly triangular match against Osasuna Veteranos. For their part, the participants in the women's module completed the first of three training sessions on Friday, April 19. Unlike the men's module, they have three sessions of an hour and a half each and are directed by Rivas.
