Osasuna Promesas announces roster moves ahead of the 2023-24 season

Santi Castillejo will coach the affiliate again in its second Primera Federación season.

Pamplona (Thursday, June 8, 2023) – After an excellent debut in Primera Federación, where the team finished seventh in its group, Osasuna Promesas begins preparing to return to the third tier of Spanish football. In the upcoming season, the team will be led by head coach Santi Castillejo, who will lead the affiliate for a sixth consecutive season.

Osasuna Promesas will decline contract options on Jonathan González 'Jony,' Pau Martínez, Kako Sanz, Yoel Ramírez, Iván Martínez 'Barbero,’ Unai Dufur, and Xabier Irurita. Also, after being in the club on loan this past season, the club will not exercise the full transfer options on Marc Llinares and Sergio Moreno. Club Atlético Osasuna would like to thank all of them for the way they have defended the club's shirt and for being part of a historic season for the Promesas and wishing them the best of luck for the future.

Renewal of David Rabadán

The club has exercised a contract option on midfielder David Rabadán. The 23-year-old did not compete in the previous season due to an ACL injury in the preseason. Osasuna has renewed the midfielder until June 30, 2024, with an option to extend for two more seasons.

Promotion of Miguel Auría and Dani Sancho

Miguel Auría and Dani Sancho will join Osasuna Promesas in the upcoming season. Both players just finished their season with Subiza, the third team in the club’s structure. In this last season, Subiza got close to the promotion as they fell in the Segunda Federación promotional playoff. The participation of other players from the club's structure in the Promesas preseason will be decided soon.
