Osasuna re-signs forward Ante Budimir

The Croatian international has extended his contract for two more years with the club

Pamplona (Monday, October 9, 2023) – Club Atlético Osasuna has announced today that the club has re-signed forward Ante Budimir until June 30, 2027. This new deal adds two years to the previous agreement between the player and the entity. As in the last contract, the buyout clause for the Croatian international remains at 20,000,000 euros in LaLiga EA Sports. The striker and sporting director Braulio Vázquez will host a press conference tomorrow at 6 p.m. CET at El Sadar.

Budimir arrived in Osasuna on loan from RCD Mallorca in the summer of 2020 and has become a key player for the team since his arrival. His 32 goals in his four seasons have made him the seventh top goal scorer for the club in Primera División and the third international player with the most goals scored in Osasuna history – 29 goals in the top tier of Spanish football, two in the Copa del Rey, and one in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The 32-year-old striker made his professional debut with N.K. Randik Velika Gorica, before joining the LASK Linz in Austria, H.N.K Gorica, Inter Zaprešic, N. K. Lokomotiva, F.C. St. Pauli, F.C. Crotona, Sampdoria F.C., and RCD Mallorca. In the 2018-19 season, he joined Los Bermellones and became a key player for the club in their quest to the LaLiga EA Sports promotion. After two seasons in Mallorca, he came to El Sadar to place his name in rojillo history. His performances with the Navarrese squad allowed him to represent Croatia in the UEFA Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
