Pamplona (Friday, September 8, 2023) – Club Atlético Osasuna president Luis Sabalza presented Pamplona’s mayor, Cristina Ibarrola, with a special captain’s armband celebrating the 600th anniversary of the Privilege of the Union.

This season, the rojillo entity paid homage to the historic celebration in its kits and designed a special armband to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the Privilege of the Union treaty, which was signed on September 8, 1423. The captain’s armband’s design shows the original outline of each borough that formed Pamplona (San Nicolás, San Cernin, and Navarrería). Plus, the official 600th-anniversary logo, Osasuna’s logo, and the inscription, “Fean, & ayan à fer una comunidat indivifible” (Go and be one indivisible community) – a phrase from the original text signed by King Charles III, who signed the treaty to merge the boroughs into one city. The quote is also shown on the team’s jersey.

Due to the international break, Osasuna debuted the bracelet on Sunday, September 3, against F.C. Barcelona. The women’s first team and Osasuna Promesas captains will wear this armband for their respective matches this weekend.
