Sunday Estadio El Sadar
Match
Day1 CA Osasuna - Sevilla FC
The home-grown player will finish his stage as rojillo player being the sixth player with most official games in the club’s history.
Club Atlético Osasuna captain, Oier Sanjurjo, will not continue in the club next season. The relationship between the club and one of the most relevant players in its centenary history will finish at the end of the season. The home-grown player will end his career as rojillo footballer after fourteen seasons in the first team. On the next 19th of May, there will be an event at El Sadar, where Oier could say goodbye to the fans and receive a deserved tribute.
The estelles player has represented the idiosyncrasy and values of Osasuna during his career. Oier took his debut with the first team on the 12th of December, 2007 in a Copa del Rey game against Real Club Deportivo Mallorca. Since then, the home-grown player has played in Osasuna except for the 2011/2012 season, when he went on loan to Real Club Celta de Vigo, where he helped to promote at Primera División. When he came back to Pamplona, Oier became one of the most important players on the team. After suffering some of the most difficult times in the history of the club, he has been one of the emblems in a rebuild time. After winning the Segunda División championship in 2019, he has contributed to reach three consecutive permanences and, with it, the growth of the club in the last years. Oier will finish his stage as footballer of the club and will leave Osasuna where it belongs
Luis Sabalza: “Oier has been, is and will be Osasuna”
