After the match between Atlético de Madrid and Club Atlético Osasuna at the Wanda Metropolitano, the rojillo coach, Jagoba Arrasate, answered questions from the media at the press conference. The coach praised the courage shown by his team on the pitch: "We have to be proud that we came here and gave our all until the last play of the game with Chimy's chance. That's who we are, we don't give up, we have the objective of permanence but this team doesn't get carried away, it always wants more. And today was a very difficult game against a great rival who was playing for the league. And it showed that the team has values that the players take to their maximum expression".

Arrasate went into more detail and acknowledged the 'rojiblanca's' superiority during part of the game: "In the first half-hour, they were superior and could have gone ahead because they had chances to do so. It was difficult for us to adjust in some of their breakaway situations and we weren't good on the ball either. The idea was to defend the width better because they were doing a lot of damage with Trippier, Llorente and Correa and we understood that with three centre-backs and Rubén there we were going to defend better. From the 30th minute onwards we were better, the game became more balanced".

"We showed our values on a very difficult pitch and in a very difficult context".

Winning with ten minutes to go, Osasuna were close to the three points, but once they scored the equaliser the rojillo coach found it difficult to hold on to the result: "We saw it close, with ten minutes to go we were winning. That equaliser changed everything because when a team is up there and scores a draw it's difficult to stop their momentum. I think it was also because they went all out, they had a lot of people in front of the ball and it's not easy to defend against them".

Finally, Jagoba claimed the match as an example of the spirit of Osasuna: "We have that regret, but at the same time we are proud that we have completed until the end, which is what Osasuna has always been about, with those values, that we never give up until the end and today we showed our values on a very difficult pitch and in a very difficult context".
