Jonathan Rodríguez Menéndez 'Jony' (July 9, 1991; Cangas del Narcea, Asturias) joined the youth teams of Real Oviedo and at youth age, he was signed up by FC Barcelona. After two years at La Masía, the Asturian returned to the "Carbayona" club to join Real Oviedo Vetusta, the team with which he made his debut in the Second Division B. After a season in the Oviedo B team, Jony wore the shirts of Marino de Luanco, Getafe B and Avilés, competing with all three teams in the bronze category. In the 2013/14 season, he joined Real Sporting de Gijón, with which he excelled. After making his debut with the b team, he made his debut with the first team in his first year. In his second season in Gijón, he was one of the most outstanding players (41 games played and 7 goals scored) of a Sporting that achieved promotion to First Division.

In his debut in the top category, he participated in 36 games and scored 5 goals. He signed for Málaga in the 2016/17 season and the second half of the following year he returned on loan to Gijón, where he scored 5 goals in 21 matches in the silver category. Two seasons ago, Jony was loaned to Deportivo Alavés, where he had a great season, playing 36 games and scoring 4 goals in LaLiga Santander. A performance that made S. S. Lazio take over his services. In Italy, the left-winger played 32 games last season (24 in Serie A, 6 in the UEFA Europa League and 2 in the Italian Cup), participating in a season of a team that qualified for the Champions League and won the Italian Super Cup.

In the summer of 2020, Jony arrives at Osasuna to strengthen the attacking field and contribute to the goal of achieving permanence in LaLiga Santander.
