Aridane Hernández Umpiérrez (23 March 1989; Tuineje, Las Palmas) arrived at Osasuna in 2017, after being the standout central defender of the previous season in the Second Division. His prodigious aerial play and physical power are his greatest weapons. In his second season in the red entity he achieved the promotion to La Liga Santander.

His career began when he was captured by Real Valladolid from his native Fuerteventura at a young age. As a junior, he would train at the youth academies of two giants of continental football: Real Madric C. F. and Liverpool F. C.

However, he had to train in Third and Second B before making the leap to professional football. He played for Real Valladolid, in the A. D. Ceuta, Deportivo Alavés and C. D. Eldense. The last campaign in the Alicante club allowed him to be signed by Granada C. F. and to be loaned to Cadiz C. F., where he completed two seasons. In the first one he helped the team to return to LaLiga 123 and in the second one, belonging already to the yellow entity, he was one of the leaders of a team that reached the playoff for promotion to First Division.
