Vicente Moreno: ‘We Have a Clear Idea of What We Want to Do Tomorrow’

Head coach Vicente Moreno addressed the media ahead of tomorrow's match against FC Barcelona.

Head coach Vicente Moreno addressed the media ahead of the rescheduled match between FC Barcelona and Osasuna, analyzing the postponed game that will now be played tomorrow.

"Some things can be useful, such as general aspects, while others are not. Every moment creates a unique scenario and set of circumstances. No two matches are ever the same—within a game, no two plays are identical. There is always something that changes, and this will be no different. At the time, we prepared for the game the way we thought was best, and tomorrow we will do the same. More or less, we have a clear idea of what we want to do, knowing that we are facing an opponent that sometimes allows you to execute your plan and sometimes does not—not just us, but most teams. You only have to look at their results in LaLiga and especially at home, where they have achieved significant results," the coach said about having to prepare for the match a second time.

"This is not a copy-paste situation. Some things will be useful, but it is a different scenario, moment, and day. With that in mind, we decided last week what to do in this match. Some things may be similar, some may not. So, there could be changes, not necessarily because we had planned certain things for the postponed match that we now have to stick with. The lineup and formation may change, and you will see tomorrow," he added.

The Massanassa native also spoke about the team's current situation.

"We must be clear about our goal to secure our place in LaLiga as soon as possible. That was the objective we all set at the start of the season—to remain in the top division for another year. Securing it as soon as possible is key. Often, we resign ourselves to focusing on a single goal because we are competitive and ambitious, and we always want more. But football itself sets the limits. We must focus on achieving this objective as soon as possible, which is what we initially set out to do. From a sense of responsibility, the coaching staff and the players must deliver for the club and our fans. We have the chance to compete tomorrow, so we need to try to pick up points to get closer to securing our goal. Out of respect for our supporters, the club, and everyone involved, we must step up and complete the task as soon as possible."
