Club Atlético Osasuna has renewed Jon Moncayola for the next ten seasons. The entity has signed a new contractual relationship with the home-grown player that will link them until June 30, 2031. His termination clause in LaLiga Santander will be 22,000,000 euros for the next two seasons and 20,000,000 euros for the remaining seasons, while in LaLiga SmartBank it will be 8,000,000 euros. At 12:30 this morning, the player will appear at a telematic press conference in the company of the manager, Braulio Vázquez.

Jon Moncayola Tollar (13 May 1998; Garinoáin, Navarra) has become one of the pillars of Osasuna after completing just two seasons with the first team. He joined the club's academy at the age of ten. Since then, he has worked his way up through the different categories of youth football until he reached the professional squad. After being an important player in the B team's promotion to Segunda B in the 2018/19 season, he spent the pre-season under the orders of Jagoba Arrasate. The coach from Berriatua made him debut as a starter in Osasuna's first game on their return to LaLiga Santander, in a victory achieved in Leganés. Since then, his prominence has not stopped growing.

The season that has just ended has been that of his confirmation as a total midfielder; capable of combining great technical, tactical and physical virtues. Last season he made 41 appearances, 36 of them in LaLiga Santander, including two key goals in the fight for permanence against Granada and Villarreal. He is a regular in the Spanish U21 squad, although he missed the recently concluded European Championship due to Covid-19.

With this renewal, Club Atlético Osasuna retains one of the greatest talents that Tajonar has produced in recent years. Furthermore, they have signed a contract with him for the next decade, making clear their intention for Jon Moncayola to become one of their franchise players and an emblem for Osasuna.
