Osasuna let go two points against Granada in the last minute. The rojillos were better and deserved the victory that couldn’t happen because of Montoro’s goal from a long shot. Before, Chimy Ávila scored for Osasuna, who had more chances of scoring more goals. Cote’s red card changed the match and Granada could score for the draw.

In the first half, none of the teams could dominate the match, and the best chances came from Osasuna’s pressure. IN the eighth minute, R. Torres’ cross found Chimy Ávila in the second post, but his header was saved by Maximiano. Osasuna had another chance when Rubén García headed down a cross into Unai García, whose shot hit the defense. Granada had the posesión some minutes and created some chances of scoring. D. Machís had the best one, but S. Herrera thwarted the danger.

The score was even until, right before the break time, Chimy Ávila got the rebound from Granada’s defense, and beated Maximiliano from point blank range with his left foot, scoring his second goal in two matches, and letting Osasuna go to the break time with the advantage in teh score.

After the break, the match was still as in the first half, with Osasuna looking for another goal, and Granada defending the hosts attacks, and looking for its chances in counterattacks. Jagoba Arrasate’s side had some good chances thanks to Rubén García’s crosses. R. Torres had a good opportunity after getting the rebound from one of those crosses. He beated Maximiano, but a defender saved the goal. Moncayola had a very similar one, but his volley went just wide of the goal.

The only opportunities of scoring that Granada had came from counterattacks, and so, when L. Suárez was running towards S. Herrera’s goal, Cote stopped the action and got a red card fifteen minutes before the end. After this, Granada saw its chances of scoring with one more player, and Montoro scored in the last minute with a stunning long shot that put the draw in the score.

With this point, Osasuna has eighteen in total after ten matches, and rests in the second position of the league, although the rest of the matches of this fixture must be played. Jagoba Arrasate’s side next match will be on Wednesday 27 at 21:30 at Santiago Bernabeu.
