Osasuna reached the first home win this season against Rayo Vallecano, in the day in which El Sadar could home again, after one and a half year, all the fans. In the first half, the match was very equal and intense, and the defenders could thwart the danger in the less chances there were. In the second half, the match lost most of its rhythm, and none of the teams could create chances of scoring, but in the extra time, Manu Sánchez scored a header, which sealed Osasuna’s victory, and his first goal with the team.

In the first half both teams played an intense match. None of them could create chances of scoring, although Osasuna could play the ball from the back.
The best chances came from some individual actions of Kike G. who saw himself inside the box twice, but the Rayo’s defense and the keeper, Dimitrievski, made good blocks and saves. Another chance came from Torró, who shot at close range after finding a ball inside the box, forcing Dimitrievski into another save.
After the break, none of the teams could control the match. The order that caracterized de defenses in the first half was not so present in the second one. Torró had another chance with a nice right-footed volley that impacted on a Rayo’s defender.

After that, the match started decreasing its rhythm and it looked like the 0-0 would be the final result. However, in the extra time, a cross from Cote found Manu Sanchez inside the box, who beated the keeper and put the 1-0 in the score, making Osasuna reach its first home win of the season, and scoring his first goal with the team.
